Description
Intermediate First Aid is a comprehensive, skills‑focused training program designed for individuals who need the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to medical and injury‑related emergencies at home, in the workplace, or in the community. This course provides a strong foundation in life‑support skills through a balanced mix of instruction, demonstration, hands‑on practice, and scenario‑based learning.
Learners develop the ability to recognize, assess, and manage a wide range of emergencies, including breathing problems, cardiac events, bleeding, shock, sudden medical conditions, and common injuries. The program includes CPR Level C and AED training, ensuring participants are prepared to act quickly and safely in time‑sensitive situations.
This course meets or exceeds federal and most provincial/territorial workplace first aid requirements and reflects the latest Canadian Consensus Guidelines on First Aid and CPR
